Tignes has one of the best snow records in the Alps, a huge ski area and good bars, restaurants and resort entertainment. There is ice skating and an aquatic centre with spa, gym and swimming pool. All-in-all, Tignes offers an excellent location for your ski course with Ali Ross Skiing Clinics. Click here for ski map.
Ski holiday arrangements should be made independently or through a tour operator.
Please check your hotel booking carefully. We have had clients who arrived in Tignes having booked a hotel with the same name but in another resort or, in another case, who had forgotten to book a hotel altogether!
Advice about where to stay in Tignes - You should book accommodation in Tignes le Lac (the centre) or Le Lavachet. Other areas such as Val Claret or the lower villages are not convenient for the courses.
The most popular hotels with our clients are listed below, but there are several others in Tignes Le Lac, such as the Pacquis, the Alpaka and the Levanna which also have their fans. Chalet hotels such as the Hauts Toviere in Lavachet also offer good value. Early booking is recommended for high season dates.
Note that some hotels may include a ski lift pass in the overall price. We advise buying an Espace Killy lift pass, which covers both ski resorts, Tignes and Val D'Isere.
