The Courses
The venue for all courses is the snow-sure resort of Tignes, in the French Alps. A detailed description of courses can be found below.
If you are at all unsure about which Clinic is best suited to your needs, please call Ali Ross Skiing Clinics during office hours on
01997 421909 or email query@alirossskiingclinics.com
All courses have a maximum of 8 skiers and are all taught by Ali Ross himself.
They run Monday-Friday (except PPC that are by arrangement), with 4 evening discussion sessions (more or less straight after skiing).
Level 1
For intermediate to advanced
recreational skiers with several years experience, joining the Ali Ross system
for the first time. Typically, a Level 1 skier will have reached a learning
plateau, would like to make progress, but doesn't know how to. Most important is
a willingness to try out new ideas. Please note, there is a MINIMUM
standard - to be able to ski using open parallels on a red run in the Tignes area.
Two groups of maximum eight
per week, one in the morning, the other in the afternoon, with a swap over
midweek. Each group has a minimum of two and a half hours per session. Please
be aware that whilst we try to be flexible about splitting the groups, we cannot
guarantee to accommodate specific requests from clients to be in one or the
other.
Course price £270
Season refresher
A combined Level 2 and Advanced course for those wishing to start the year as they mean to go on!
Great for remembering what you should be doing for the rest of the season.
One group of maximum eight per week.
Course Price £415
Level 2 and Advanced
These courses are for those skiers who have already completed Level 1 successfully and who wish to make
further progress within the Clinics' system.
Level 2 aims to develop the techniques learned at Level 1 for a wider variety of skiing situations and to
apply them whilst also building up mileage on skis. We aim to introduce off-piste skiing whenever conditions allow.
The objective of the Advanced course is to refine technique further for more difficult terrain and conditions, including
the development of mountain awareness and avalanche transceiver training. Off-piste whenever safely possible.
Avalanche transceivers are provided for those who do not have their own. Anyone already possessing the full kit of transceiver,
shovel, etc should, if possible, bring it with them.
One group of maximum eight per week.
Course Price £415
Personal Performance Clinic (PPC)
A PP Clinic indicates the possibility of half day private lessons. For more information, prices and booking, please
contact us directly.
Prices vary according to the number in the group, up to a maximum of 4 skiers.
Evening Seminars
All courses have Evening Seminars which take place more or less straight after skiing on 4 evenings for
discussion and questions.
Introductory Meeting
This is held on Sunday night at the Hotel Arbina at 5.30pm unless advised otherwise.
If you are uncertain about your standard of skiing or have any other enquiry about the course itself, please email us at
query@alirossskiingclinics.com. You can
also phone during office hours on 01997 421909 or 07880 551360.
